The remains of Tarbrax Oilworks viewed from the bing in January 2003 looking north east over the remains of the main works buildings. Tarbrax was served by two lines, one to the Caledonian Railway at Woolfords and a second private line to a shale mine at Cobbinshaw Hill. A further link from the Tarbrax branch ran to South Cobbinshaw mine close by Cobbinshaw Reservoir. The works closed in the 1920s. See image 37838
