Chipping Norton
North end of the Chipping Norton tunnel. The terminus of the Chipping Norton Railway was unfortunately located next to a gradual rise. When the line was extended by the Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway the terminus became a through station but a tunnel was required on the line to Banbury.
