Something has caught the eye of the workers at Whitehaven Harbour as Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 8 simmers on the quayside. Whitehaven exported coal from nearby collieries, including Saltom, Lady pit, King, Duke, Wellington, Haig and Kells and a 21T hopper wagon is coupled to the locomotive. Nowadays the harbour is a marina and has a lock gate so that it doesn't empty at low tide. All quayside railway lines have been removed. (With thanks to Chris Gomersall for local information).
