Scene at the original Fort William station by the shores of Loch Linnhe in 1968, with D6103 having drawn forward into the headshunt. Unfortunately, this attractive lochside station was swept aside to make way for a new dual-carriageway in the 1970s, with passenger trains thereafter terminating at a rather nondescript two-platform station half a mile to the north east.
