Dundee West Mineral Yard
Reid class D30 4-4-0 no 62426 Cuddie Headrigg is one of a number of abandoned steam locomotives awaiting disposal in the former mineral yard sidings at Dundee West in July 1959. The D30 was not in fact officially withdrawn by BR from 63B Stirling South shed until June the following year, one month prior to being cut up at Cowlairs works. No doubt BR's Accounting Department had its own good reasons for registering these official dates.
