Looking south as 50024 Vanguard+50050 Fearless in Network SouthEast livery pass Oakenshaw Junction on 23 April 1988. The locomotives are heading towards Hare Park Junction hauling the Fellsman special on its return from Carlisle to Taunton via Sheffield and Birmingham. The spur climbing up to join the Midland main line at West Riding Junction can be seen in the left background to the front of the leading locomotive.
