Ferry Road

The lorry has just turned north into Connaught Place after leaving the Chancelot Mill [1st] in March 1963, passing the footbridge across the railway line into Gosford Place. The line is the Caledonian 'Leith New Lines' route to the Leith eastern docks (singled 14 years after opening). In the background the line can be seen crossing the Bonnington Viaduct [CR] over the NB North Leith branch just west of Bonnington station (see 2196). The sidings for the mill were on the left.
