Bury Knowsley Street
The Rossendale Farewell railtour negotiates the link between Knowsley St and Bolton St stations in Bury on its way to Rawtenstall. The area in the background that looks excavated is the trackbed of the old line to Bolton that dipped sharply at the west end of Knowsley St platforms to drop under the electric lines. The link reopened when East Lancashire Railway services were extended from Bury Bolton St to Heywood.
