In 1990 it was still possible to use the former L&D bridge as a vantage point (after many years of being fenced off it is possible to reach this location again). 303006 leaves Bowling on an Airdrie service (the lower destination board reads 'via Glasgow Queen St - Limited Stop'). The train has just entered the tracks of the former Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh railway which commenced immediately east of Bowling station. Interestingly the driver was standing when I took this shot, goodness knows why.
