Manchester Central
View over Manchester Central from the Beetham Tower on 28 September 2009. Closed to rail traffic in 1969 the old CLC station was subsequently refurbished and relaunched as the G-Mex Conference and Exhibition Centre in 1986 before regaining its original identity in 2008. The Midland Hotel stands opposite the far end of the building and a Metrolink tram can be seen running past on the right.
