Manchester Central

The former CLC 1880 Manchester Central station with its graceful arched roof of simialr design to St Pancras and St Enoch. After closure in May 1969 the station was first used as a car park before becoming the Greater Manchester Exhibition and Conference Centre (G-Mex). It has recently been rebranded and is once again known as Manchester Central, and, although the trains have long gone, nowadays it is well served by the Metrolink tram system which runs past the main entrance.
