Stroan Viaduct
View south over Loch Stroan towards the Stroan Viaduct, which carried the Dumfries - Stranraer line across the southern narrows of the Loch between New Galloway and Gatehouse of Fleet. Just beyond the viaduct the Black Water of Dee exits the Loch and runs south towards Kirkcudbright Bay and the Solway Firth. The line closed in 1965.
