Burscough Bridge
View south east from Burscough Bridge towards Wigan in May 1986. The trackbed of the former spur to Burscough North Junction (closed 1969) runs off to the left of the signal box, while the line to Burscough South Junction, closed 3 years previously, is still in place. The DMU is about to run under the bridge carrying the Preston - Liverpool line. See image 22975
