Extract from The Edinburgh & Leith Post Office Directory 1946-47 showing railway stations and their management just before nationalisation. There are quite a few omissions, including all of the Corstorphine branch. Notice that J Shearlaw was the Stationmaster of all three stations in the North Leith branch, though Junction Bridge and North Leith were so close together all he'd have to do was shout (well, nearly) if the mice were playing. By the 1970-71 directory there were just two entries: a Station Manager at Waverley covering four passenger stations plus Craigentinny, and an Area Manager (Goods) based at Leith South.
