Inverkeithing South Junction

The Forth Bridge Line is closed for two weekends for increasingly
frequent engineering work on this line.  Closure used to be a rarity, but it is only a matter of months since the last one.  All is quiet on the rails while passengers at Inverkeithing (behind camera) are pointed in the direction of replacement buses.  Notice the just-installed palisade fencing and gate across the Rosyth Dockyard branch to keep strollers out: there's a foot crossing here so access was otherwise easy.  The crossing is needed to provide access to the station from one of three station car parks.  Photographed 5 March 2011.  For this area over 50 years ago see image 19632.
