Even Blantyre's website is unable to help me with this uncredited and unexplained artwork at the station, saying only 'two silver men
clutching a pole between them can be seen heading in a determined
fashion for a nearby flowerbed'.
Update from David Franks - this is a sculpture of two African tribesmen carrying a rudimentary stretcher or 'litter' at Blantyre station. It was placed there in commemoration of Dr David Livingston - African missionary and explorer and whose visitor centre is just down the road from the station.
