The criss-cross of lines in the Dalry (Edinburgh) area as seen in the Bartholomew's six-inch to the mile city plan for 1953-54. Dalry Road station and the cramped shed can be seen, as can Gorgie station on the suburban circle. The main line out of Princes Street to Carlisle cuts across the extract, though rather masked by the thick red line as it formed a boundary between wards on the old Edinburgh Corporation.
