White City

An eastbound Central Line train for Hainhault approaching White City station in July 2005. Note the train appears to be approaching 'wrong line'- a historic quirk from the days when Central Line trains were 'looped' at the former Wood Lane terminus, just south of here. Nowadays 'wrong line' operation continues from a site west of the old terminus, through White City station, before reverting to the conventional arrangement via a surface flyover between here and East Acton station.
