Longridge (Lancashire)
Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 45043 prepares to draw its train out of Longridge Goods Yard prior to running round and taking the train, tender first, back down the branch to Preston. This picture was taken in 1966, the year before final closure. Just to the left of the loco the signal box can be seen controlling the level crossing at the station.
