Ossett Tram Depot
The boarded up former Dewsbury and Ossett Tramways tram shed off Church Street, Ossett, in July 2011. The trackbed is still discernible down through the yard entering from the right and curving round to enter the two road tram shed, only the left section of which is visible. The building was for many years an appliance repair workshop for Yorkshire Electricity up to the early 1970s - I spent part of my electrical apprenticeship here. It later became a manufacturing site for playground equipment. See image 70902 taken 8 years later.
