Monkwearmouth
A Tyne and Wear Metro service bound for Newcastle heads north shortly after leaving St Peters station on the north bank of the River Wear in 2004. The train is running through the abandoned platforms of the 1848 Monkwearmouth station and is about to pass an approaching service heading for South Hylton.
