86259 Les Ross in original BR electric blue livery rushes through Leyland station on 4 February hauling the Railway Touring Company's 'Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express' on the leg from Euston to Preston. From Preston the special would head for Carlisle via the S&C behind Black 5 no. 45305, returning via Shap to Carnforth where the 86 would take over once more for the return to Euston. See image 37494
