Helmsley
The old platforms at Helmsley now form part of a conservation area open to the public. The last service train called in 1953, although excursions continued to arrive occasionally for another ten years. Behind the camera the station building, behind a substantial fence, lives on as a private residence complete with original signal box. See image 18821. View towards Pickering.
