Normanton
The 11.51 Leeds to Sheffield via Barnsley stopping train recedes from the camera and makes for its next stop at Wakefield Kirkgate in April 1976, having just passed Lockes Sidings signal box see image 37445. Notable features on the horizon are Emley Moor TV transmitter just to the left of the train and the spire of Wakefield Cathedral near the right hand edge of the picture.
