A dreich June day in 2012, looking across the cut - down remains of North Blyth staithes to the former railway settlement of that name. The building on the left is North Blyth WMC, once the BR Staff Assoc Club. The nearest street is named Worsdell Terrace (of J27 fame). The former steam shed was located to the left of the Club. It's diesel depot replacement was located at Cambois, a further mile to the left. The pedestrian ferry that ran from this point across the river to the town of Blyth was withdrawn in the 1980's - it is now many miles by road between the two settlements.
