Monktonhall Junction
Deltic No. 9011 The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers approaches Monktonhall Junction not long after leaving Waverley station in February 1970 with the 16.00 hrs service to London Kings Cross. This once rural scene on the outskirts of Edinburgh has changed out of all recognition - the field on the right has long succumbed to housing while Queen Margaret University now stands on the left.
