Preston (Ribble Branch)
Although shunter Classes 03 and 05 share the same Gardner 204hp engine Hunslet used their own 4-speed gearbox on the 05 and the cab layout, as seen here on D2595 with the prominent gear selector, looks completely different to Ribble Steam Railway stablemate 03 D2148 See image 37280. Maximum speed for the Hunslet is 20mph, compared to 28mph for the 5-speed Class 03.
