'Old shovel-rim' at Hawick in 1965. The unique Gresley V2 2-6-2 no 60813, fitted with stove-pipe chimney and small 'shovel-rim' smoke deflectors, stands alongside the up platform water column at Hawick in the summer of 1965. The locomotive was a regular sight on the Waverley route while operating from St Margarets shed in the 1950s and early 1960s before being finally withdrawn by BR from Dundee Tay Bridge in September 1966. 60813 was cut up in McWilliams yard, Shettleston, in November of that year.
