Drumgelloch [1st]
'Hmmm... so this must be.. errrr.. ' It can be confusing! Platform scene at the old (1989) Drumgelloch station on Boxing Day 2008. Approximately eighteen months later the terminus would be gone, to be replaced by a new (2011) double track through station some 550m further east as part of the Airdrie - Bathgate project. The new (2011) Drumgelloch station was in turn built near the site of the original (1862) Clarkston (Lanarks) station (closed 1956). see image 29371.
