The soaring train sheds of the Victorian era had the practical feature of not trapping smoke at platform level - something which also proved useful during the Deltic era! No. 55001 'St Paddy' arrives at York with the Sunday 09.50 Kings Cross to Edinburgh on 4 July 1976, a dated train hence the use of Mk 1 stock.
