Port Carlisle

After a short and unprofitable life, famously served by a horse drawn tram for much of its existence, the line from Port Carlisle via Glasson to Drumburgh closed completely in 1932. However, over 80 years later the station platform can still be seen. This view looks towards the buffers but the final stretch of trackbed has been infilled to make a car park for the Port Carlisle Bowling Club, albeit with the platform edging stones still visible.
