I'm not sure whether a class 40 pairing qualified as 'super power' but it was certainly super heavyweight! 40183 (leading) and 40123 are signalled onto the Wakefield Kirkgate line at Goose Hill Junction, Normanton, in July 1975. The train is the Bradford Forster Square - Manchester Red Bank newspaper empties, a regular double-headed working.
