Rosslyn Castle
The entrance to Rosslyn Castle station was via the gate alongside the station master's house, then down a wooden stairway to the platform see image 42622. Roslin Castle itself stands in the distance on the other (north) side of Roslin Glen with Rosslyn Chapel beyond. Nearby stations also existed at Roslin, on the Edinburgh, Loanhead and Roslin Railway (closed 1933), Rosslynlee and Rosslynlee Hospital Halt on the Peebles Railway (both closed 1962). [Note spelling variations!]
