Part of the original workshops and water tank of the York and North Midland Railway located to the south of the present day York station with, to the right, a photo-detail showing a Y&NM plate still displayed on the site. The 1839 grade II listed structure is described on the British Listed Buildings website as ...one of the earliest surviving purpose-built railway structures in the country. Photographed looking west on 23 April 2013 with the ECML on the other side of the building.
