Plates, signs, notices etc

Outline plan of the Brandling Junction Railway dated 1847. The only railway to be named after a person rather than carrying the usual geographic description. The Brandling family were colliery owners in the north east, whose primary objective at that time was the efficient and reliable transport of coal from their collieries to the staithes for shipment.
