Connel Ferry Bridge

The cantilever Connel Ferry Bridge that once carried the Ballachulish branch with the Falls of Lora beneath. Originally railway only, it was adapted to accommodate both road and rail traffic in 1914. It was too narrow for simultaneous use so road traffic was stopped when trains crossed. The Branch closed in 1966 and the bridge given over to road traffic and pedestrians. See image 33502
