Bo'ness

Preserved 0-6-0ST No 3 Lady Victoria at Boness in March 1998 during a downpour (thus the photograph from the car window). The locomotive was built by Andrew Barclay, Kilmarnock, (works no 1458) in 1916 for the Ministry of Munitions, National Filling Factory No 4, Georgetown (later part of ROF Bishopton). Sold to the Lothian Coal Co after WW1, it ended its working life at Lady Victoria Colliery, Newtongrange, part of NCB Area 2 (Lothians). It was acquired by the SRPS in 1978.
