Cyclists heading south on the A6106 on Sunday morning 11 August 2013 will soon be forced to dismount as they approach Sheriffhall roundabout. In the background the A720 City by-pass approaches the same point from the east. These roads, together with the A7, combine here to form one of Edinburgh's busiest junctions. A way of avoiding this from mid 2015 will be via the route under construction on the left, which will carry the Borders Railway under the road on its way to Tweedbank.
