Dolphinton [CR]
The former goods yard at Dolphinton (Caledonian) seen in 1997. This goods yard was laid out on a large site. The view looks west with the cattle pens, station, and connection to the NBR, off to the right. At the time of promotion of the railway there were coal mines in the Dolphinton area, closed by the time of the opening. So the slim traffic the two competing lines could have carried was already reduced before opening. The site is now housing.
