An addition to the Manchester Metrolink network in 2013 was Ashton-under-Lyne. The East Manchester line has been extended from the temporary terminus at Droylsden on a route that uses or closely follows the main road. This is the terminus, which is part of a transport interchange. The bus station is adjacent and the railway station close by. Tram 3072 waits to leave for Eccles via Piccadilly.
