Opened in 1866 the Dunrod quarry branch left Dunrod and climbed towards the quarries in Sheilhill Glen that supplied the red sandstone used to build houses in Skelmorlie, Wemyss Bay and Inverkip. The picture shows the trackbed in July 2014 curving away from the Dunrod Loop.
