View west over Holyhead station from London Road overbridge on 23 July, showing the rarely used stabling sidings and platform 1, used mainly by Virgin Voyager services from Euston. Three of the Voyagers that stable at Holyhead, plus some Arriva DMUs, use the washing plant, located beyond the footbridge, during overnight servicing. Arriva WAG service stock and class 67 loco are stabled in the sidings over each weekend. The disused building centre right is the former Arriva crew facility and signing on point, now superceded by a new joint crew and customer service facility on platform 2.
