Rebuilding the Blackpool line bridges for electrification has created some new (but probably temporary) vantage points, including this one at Darkinson Lane near Lea Road. 142047 heads west on a Manchester Victoria to Blackpool North service on 2nd October. The white structure beyond the trees is part of the nuclear fuel complex at Salwick.
