The old railway cottages at Darkinson Lane were probably for the staff of nearby Lea Road station, reached by the lineside footpath. They are similar in appearance to those at Salwick but there are only five rather than nine in the terrace. 319383 passes with a Blackpool North to Manchester (via Bolton) service, which the EMUs have recently been introduced to, on 11th March 2019..
