Carlisle

'...and how was the weather in Blackpool?' A returning summer Saturday holiday extra stands in the rain at Carlisle platform 1 on 17 August 1963. The train is the 10.35 ex-Blackpool Central, conveying through coaches for Perth and Edinburgh Princes Street. Royal Scot no 46128 'The Lovat Scouts' has just taken over the train which had arrived earlier behind Blackpool Central shed's Jubilee 45571 South Africa. See image 39966
