Farnworth Tunnel
A Wilmslow to Blackpool North TPE service exits the smaller bore of Farnworth Tunnel on the afternoon of 5 February 2015. Major reconstruction work starts here in May 2015 to make room for overhead power lines in connection with the electrification of the Manchester - Preston via Bolton route.
