Farnworth Tunnel
A Blackpool to Huddersfield (via Manchester Victoria) service exits the southern portal of the new Farnworth Tunnel on 23 December 2015. On the left there is still track in place through the old small bore tunnel which had been used for all services for 7 months but it is no longer connected. A normal timetable was resumed on 14 December after the Down line was connected up.
