To the left the lines run south into Millerhill yard while on the right the Borders Railway turns towards Shawfair. Between is the slightly alien landscape that now dominates this part of the old down yard. The buildings and tanks are part of the under construction food waste recyling (anaerobic digestion) plant which will serve Edinburgh and Midlothian. Scene early on Sunday 1 March 2015.
