Arniston Colliery Engine Pit
Until fairly recently a former level crossing on the Arniston Coal Company's railway was still visible on Engine Road, Gorebridge. Further damage to the tarmac was to reveal there were at least two tracks, but these are now either removed or buried. View east in 2002, with the site of Newbyres Pit and Arniston Engine Pit off to the left and the Emily Pit and Gore Pit to the right.
