Scene at Ribton Bridge on the River Derwent, east of Camerton on the Workington - Penrith line in the 1950s. Ivatt 2MT 46489 has recently arrived with coal empties, which it is pushing back towards the sidings for Ribton Hall Colliery. The locomotive was based at Workington between 1954 and 1959 before moving to Upperby, from where it was withdrawn in November 1963. The line between Workington and Keswick closed in 1966.
